The term “arch” refers to a substructure which holds the tarpaulin. They are always mounted on the cargo box of the vehicle. They are made of steel tubes or can be made of aluminum profiles at the customer’s request.
The arches in the roof can also be made of aluminum pipes or galvanized pipes, all in combination with the basic steel structure consisting of vertical columns and lateral horizontal columns, which form the basis of the arches.
We also produce atypical ie. non-standard arches for vehicles that need to carry construction material, pipes or ladders of longer dimensions than the cargo box, and it is necessary to install a horizontal pipe at the front of the arches at the height of the cab of the vehicle, and to open a tent through which elements can be drawn through which are longer than the cargo box.
As standard, we produce two types of arches: fixed and disassembled.
Fixed arches are welded into one whole. They are secured by screws to the floor of the box and, if necessary, they are removable by releasing the screws and then the entire structure from the cargo box can be removed. This variant is practical for vehicles with smaller cargo boxes, as well as for car trailers.
When securing cargo on the sides, front and back sides of the arches, wooden or, at the request of the buyer, aluminum laths are installed. Depending on the height of the arches, we install 1, 2 or 3 rows of laths.

Steel or aluminium — which should I choose for the arches?
Steel tubes are the standard and the stronger, cheaper option. Aluminium profiles are made on request and are worth it where payload matters, because the structure is lighter and does not rust. Many builds mix the two: a steel base frame with aluminium or galvanised roof tubes.
How many rows of side laths do you fit?
One, two or three rows, depending on the height of the arches. The laths secure the load along the sides, front and rear, and are made of wood as standard or aluminium at the buyer’s request. Higher arches need more rows, otherwise cargo can shift between them.
Can the arches be removed when I need an open flatbed?
Yes. Fixed arches are welded into one unit and bolted to the floor of the cargo box, so releasing the bolts lets you lift the whole structure off. That keeps the vehicle usable as an open platform for a day’s work, and the arches go back on in minutes.
Can you build arches for a car trailer, not just a truck?
Yes, and trailers are one of the most common jobs. The fixed welded variant suits trailers and smaller cargo boxes particularly well, because the whole frame is light enough to lift off by hand. Dimensions are taken from your trailer, not from a catalogue.
How do you handle cargo longer than the cargo box?
With non-standard arches built for the purpose. We fit a horizontal pipe at the front of the arches, at the height of the vehicle cab, and open a tent section through which pipes, ladders or construction material can pass. The overhang is then supported instead of resting on the cab.
Do you make the tarpaulin as well, or only the frame?
Both, and it is better done together. The arches and the tarpaulin are dimensioned as one system, so the cover sits tensioned over the frame with no flapping at speed. Ordering them separately is where most fitting problems start — the tarp is cut to a frame nobody measured.
Do I need to bring the vehicle in for measuring?
For arches, yes. We work from the actual cargo box, because floor widths and mounting points vary between builds even on the same model. Bring the vehicle or trailer to Novi Sad and measuring takes little time. For a quote beforehand, photographs and the box dimensions are enough.
